12652 2001-05-15 08:27:00 When I reloaded Win95, at boot up I had the following message;
The following file is missing or corrupted; C:\SBCD\DRV\SBIDE.SYS There is an error in your config.sys file on line five.
If anyone can tell me what this means and how to fix it I would be grateful.

If your sound and CD-ROM are working in both Windows and DOS mode, then you can safely edit your config.sys file in Notepad. Put REM at the beginning of the line to change it into a remark rather than a commmand. That way it won't attempt to load the file. Often these device drivers are needed to use cd-rom drives under DOS. (You would have needed it to install Windows from DOS off the CD-ROM drive.)
