| 12744 | 2001-05-17 07:52:00 | Hey, Recently I have been conecting to ZFree on my computer and it has said it is connected but nothing works, It all just acts like I am still offline. I have had an error msg from Notron Email Security telling me to make sure tcp/ip was installed and port 110 was open, I have checked that tcp/ip was installed but I dont know how to open ports. I have tried the same ISP using other computers in the same house but in different places, and it works there. Can anyone spread some light on the subject.. Thanks |

Internet security - check that Zfree is not a blocked site. b. Sytem Works/Anti Virus 2000 - Check that the email scanning is set to check your account. Disable Manually Configured Email Client and enable the account(s) you use. c. In the Outlook Express account settings check that the POP3 address reads 127.0.0.1. This indicates Nortons is monitoring that connection. |
