So the start up DOS screen'BIOS' tells me I have a super pentium VL-PCI motherboard Rev-2 and the processor is a P54C.I was led to believe this computer had ISA type internal architecture but now I'm thinking it may be PCI or a mixture of both.Reason being I've got a PCI soundcard coming soon and can't afford to upgrade to a faster computer and was thinking I might be able to through it into the old girl for the meantime.I haven't yet pulled apart a PC but have built my own preamps etc from books, making boards etc,so I'm pretty sure any info won't be lost on me.Ta. |

sounds like you have pci slots, but to confirm easiest way is to lift the bonnet & have a look, isa slots are normaly black & pci slots are normaly white |

A pentium class machine will likely have both. |
