| 12708 | 2001-05-16 11:32:00 | Dear PC World, Recently I downloaded some educational software.I have now tried to uninstall this software, using the uninstall facility in control panel(Window's 98) without success. What happens now is that when I switch on my computer,I am always asked to install this software again. How can I completely remove it. Regards Lachlan. |

| 12710 | 2001-05-16 23:13:00 | If it is asking you to reinstall after startup windows may still be trying to run some of the software in the background. Check the startup folder in the programs menu for a shortcut to the program. Remove any shortcut. Run MSConfig (by typing MSConfig in the run dialog box on the start menu) to check if the program is being loaded at startup. Uncheck any entry that makes reference to the program or folder. Run Regedit and do a search for the program file, if you find any entry, backup the key first then delete it. |
