| 12970 | 2001-05-21 05:41:00 | I had a virias which caused winword not to load after cleaning out the viras it took a fill out now when I start my computer I get can't find script file C\:windows\system\scanreg.VBS I was running windows 98 and have since loaded windows ME over it and tryed unloading and reloading Office 97 |

Removing the virus has obviously still left some links, try deleting the normal.dot template file from the office directory and then restarting word. You could also try searching for files containing the text string 'C\:windows\system\scanreg.VBS' (Start, Find, Files or folders). Remove any entries found or replace the file from setup disk. If all else fails, delete everything (Windows and Office and reinstall from scratch. |
