12928 2001-05-20 23:29:00 When I scroll thru my hard drive c;\, the file data becomes illegible as though the ink had become smudged as I scrolled, but returns to normal after closing and reopening. Any Ideas Thanks Ian Clarke Guest (0)

Try re-installing your graphics adapter driver, or a newer one from the internet.
If that doesn't work, try re-seating your videocard and cables (discharge your static to an unpainted metal part of the case).
Try a lower colour depth, 24 and 32-bit are generally more than required; try 15 or 16-bit. Even 256 colours is OK for wordprocessing and email).
