12959 2001-05-21 05:32:00 I bought a computer a little less than half a year ago, the problem is that Adobe Photoshop crashes Frequently, and considering I am using the machine for webdesign, this is VERY bad. I have run out of ideas, i have used new drivers, old drivers, updated Motherboard drivers. Everything...

I have:

Pentium 3 733mhz
128mb ram
windows me (also tried 98se,2k)
tnt2 ultra (also tried 2 other tnt2 cards)
Adobe Photoshop 6 retail (paid for) (also tried trials of 5 and 5.5)

no other programs crash like this one, i am really sick of it... sometimes it will crash right ion the middle of an imporant image i am making. I got the trail of paintshop and that never crashes, but its so limited compared to photoshop 6.

Please help me!

12960 2001-05-21 07:46:00 I have photoshop 5.5 serves me well, maybe it is the 6 version, both versions are a high resource user, but obviously you have enough to cope. I suggest e-mail adobe, They are supposed to have good customer support.

12965 2001-05-21 14:53:00 Try Corel Photopaint. I have been using this for 5 years & teaching for 3 years - hardly ever crashes. Don't underestimate this program - it's proven to be easier to use than Photoshop. Of course, I am biased. Guest (0)
12966 2001-05-23 00:30:00 Have you tried a different memory module? If you've tried different software fixes, that only leaves hardware.

If your PC is only less than six months old, it should still be under warranty.
