| 12871 | 2001-05-20 02:54:00 | I have a PS/2 Genius wheel mouse that I want to run from the serial port. I bought an adapter but mouse does not go. A second, regular serial mouse I have works fine. I have tried 'Add new hardware' and what seems like every conceivable combination of options there.....no go! I note>>>>>On the PS/2-Serial adapter, one of the PS/2 pins has no continuity with the serial end of the plug, with it's nine pins....checked with an ohms meter. Can anyone shed any 'light' onto any of the above? Thanks, P. |

Not all mouses (mice?) are multi interface and what you need is a COMBO mouse. Visit www.kye.co.uk/ and select mouse and see the range of Genius Mouses? with their interfaces described as PS/2, serial, USB, and Combo(PS/2 and serial). HTH PC | Guest (0) | ||

EG the A4 Tech adaptor will only work with the A4 Tech PS/2 mouse Alan |
