13199 2001-05-26 07:23:00 Hi I have a Pentium 75Mhz and 8 Ram pc which has just got windows 95 taken off. But now that we start it up again, it says to type in the command... followed by C:\ but I need to be able to read the cdrom drive which is in d. What do I type to change it?

Thanks.

13200 2001-05-26 07:42:00 You can change to D: drive by typing 'cd d:' (without the quotes) and then press enter. The C:\ prompt will change to a D:\ prompt. The cd stands for change drive. If this does not work then it probably means that your CDrom driver is no longer installed and you will need to reinstall it. Guest (0)
13201 2001-05-26 08:30:00 To change drives simply type the drive letter followed by a semi colon, for example, D:
If you want to change directories within a drive type CD (for change directory) followed by the directory name, for example CD WIN98.

If you have uninstalled windows then you may need to install CD-Rom drivers before you can access the CD drive. Check out the disk that came with your CD-Rom.
