| 13428 | 2001-05-31 08:10:00 | I have a H.P 810c Printer. I have recently put in a colour cartride, no problems. Today I replaced my black cartridge with a new one, 6615D which is the same as the one I replaced. The orange light continues to flash indicating a problem with my cartridge. The message on the screen says'printer not ready to print'. The cartridges are seated properly. I have the correct cartridges, can't see where the problem is. Can anyone help please? | Guest (0) | ||
| 13429 | 2001-05-31 14:39:00 | List of possible faults: 1. The protective tape has not been removed from the cartridge. 2. Dirty electrical contacts on either the Cartridge or printer. 3. Defective cartridge. 4. A printer fault (either the mainboard or ink pump system. 5. A communications error has occured. Check communication using the printer software and check the printer cable is securely attached to the printer and computer. 6. The printer is connected to the computer via a scanner. Try connecting the printer cable directly between printer and computer then retry the communications test. Other things to look at: 1. Does the lamp go out if the printer is turned off then on again? 2. Do the cartridges move to the park position when the lid is down? 3. Was the old cartridge really empty? Refer your printer manual or hewlettpackard.com/ for in-depth troubleshooting instructions. |

| 13430 | 2001-06-04 03:04:00 | I have checked out everything you suggested to no avail,No the lamp doesn't go out, yes the cartridges move back to park and the old black cartridge was empty but the colour one was virtually new. I tried reseating the coloue one twice to try to fool it into thinking it was a new cartridge, but it didn't work, The screen says that the colour cartridge is unusable but I can't understand this. Anyway thanks for your help. Eddie | Guest (0) | ||
