| 13352 | 2001-05-29 09:10:00 | Any ideas how I can speed up this weekly task, with a friend in Hamilton. Both have Internet connections, but Xtra email takes 3.5hrs to post this data. He does not have Zip 100/250 or any other medium other than 3.5 floppy. Thanks....John |

| 13356 | 2001-05-31 10:10:00 | Hi John. I presume it takes 3.5 hours to upload the e-mail. Does it take the recipient nearly as long to download it at the other end? If so I suggest you investigate setting up a FTP server on your PC. E-mail the recipient your IP address when the server is running (Run 'winipcfg' from the Run box to find out your IP address)and have them ftp into your computer (even internet explorer will do for this task). That way both ends of the transfer happen at once. If it wasn't a toll call to hamiltron I'd suggest direct dialing him and using z-modem to transfer the file. |
