13295 2001-05-28 06:29:00 I am currently using Pinnacles' Studio DV programme to edit my Digital movie clips. (I use a Panasonic DX100 Dv camcorder)
After editing I pass the compiled movie back to a digital tape in the camcorder. The operation is easy and generally very good. However ther is one flaw in the finished product and it takes the form of slight 'hesitations' in the played movie (i.e cars stop momentarily and flags stop waving for a fraction of a second). I can only assume that it is a Hard Drive problem, with it not being able to process digital information in an uninterrupted form. My Hard drive is new, and is a 20gb 72000rpm unit but I am unable to find out whether or not it is DV rated.DMA is enabled. Can anyone offer any solutions or info re DV rated Hard Drives? thanks Ray Landery

13296 2001-05-29 03:53:00 D you have any other programs at all running when you pass the compiled version back to the camcorder? Also what OS are you using, how much ram, and how much free space is on the windows drive?
To find out whether you have any other programs running when you make the tape press CTRL-DEL-ALT once. You should get a list of all programs running. What are these?
