1273707 2012-05-05 06:27:00 Recently i had look through my latest Norton Internet Security ,2012. The Firewalll tells me about two High Threat with same name has been blocked .
My question it whether the firewall will delete it or will it just block it . Please note the software i have is on a trial version meaning it will expire soon . If i have to get rid of the threat what should i do ????

1273708 2012-05-05 06:33:00 Well I would use something better, that wont expire first. Then scan the whole hard drive Speedy Gonzales (78)
1273709 2012-05-05 07:37:00 The firewall will be blocking / stopping what ever it is - not actually putting it in Quarantine. Have not looked,( as I dont have or wont use Norton) but some firewalls allow a item to be blocked for a certain number of minutes / hours or on a permanent basis if it keeps coming back.

As for what to do -- depends is the block from outside trying to get in or from your computer trying to get out ?

1273711 2012-05-05 11:40:00 oh ok , well i have been thinking after it expires , i will use malwarebytes and do a full scan . See if that spots something . But to me , i think Norton is showing me a false alarm . any other comments from users would help .

Thanks

1273712 2012-05-05 11:49:00 Uninstall norton, then install a virus scanner. Then scan the hdd, with it and Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes isnt a virus scanner Speedy Gonzales (78)
1273713 2012-05-05 20:36:00 Are you on Win XP, Vista, Win 7 or what ? Get rid of Norton and install
a better antimalware prog. If you are past Vista, there should be no probs.
Also, if you have any shite there are plenty of ways to remove it.
