1273674 2012-05-05 03:00:00 As of today (I don't know what changed) I can't access my hotmail inbox/outbox etc. through firefox properly. I can view my inbox and what new mails are there, but can't open any of them. I can't make a new mail, or go to my sent folder... in general, I get no response from any buttons I click. Any ideas and suggestions for fixing would be appreciated :)

Note...tried accessing through Google Chrome and in there hotmail is operating as normal

1273675 2012-05-05 03:37:00 What version of Firefox are you using, and has it done any updates ( open FF - Help / About)

Just tried mine on FF V12 and its working fine.

What do you have in the way of add ons ?

1273676 2012-05-05 06:03:00 Hi Wainui...thanks for the reply.

I am using FF V12 too. It updated to this version about a week ago I think. Do you define an add on as a Plugin.... Got several plug ins but none that are new....... and as mentioned this problem only started today so nothing has been changed since FF updated to V12 :)

Do you think it could be a corrupted FF profile if all is sweet in Google Chrome?? If it is the profile...how do you recitify that without losing your bookmarks etc ?:)

1273677 2012-05-05 06:18:00 You can test if its a plugin / add on open FF help / Restart with add ons disabled, it asks a couple of questions then FF reopens in its safe mode - Try the mail if it works then its one of the plug ins or add ons playing up. Process of elimination.

To backup any book marks, open FF, Bookmarks/ Show all bookmarks, then you have the import and backup options.

Saved Passwords - I use addons.mozilla.org once installed its under Tools/options/ Security tab

1273678 2012-05-05 08:27:00 Thanks Wainui. Have disabled all add ons and now Hotmail seems to work...so the process of elimination will start. As an add on is enabled...is it necessary to close and then reopen FF and Hotmail to see if Hotmail still works with that addon? smurf (6545)
