1273440 2012-05-03 23:20:00 Sometimes Fire Fox and Chrome refuse to save a password for a secure site. Examples are My Vodafone which allows saved passwords and 2degrees which does not. They are both 'https' files.
What causes this, and how to force the Browser to save the password?

1273441 2012-05-03 23:34:00 Hi , I also have similar thing as you , it is because you probably delete your history , cookies . If you delete cookies files or your antivirus deletes it , it does not save the password thats my thinking . And further I dont know why vodafone allows to to save passwords whereas 2 degrees doesnt , my best guess would be due to protection . Say for example , asb has a HTTPS which are more secured than normal HTTP . If you try to save password , unauthorized access can happen . Thats why Banks tell as to always log out . And im not sure how to force a browser to save passwords .

Thats my opinion , you probably will find better answers than mine over here .

Copy the code from above and create a new bookmark in Firefox. Call it Remember Password, or whatever you like, and paste the code into the Location field.
Then go to the site you want the password saved for and put in your login name & password BUT don't login yet!
Open the bookmark you created and then login.
Hopefully you will be prompted to save the password this time.
