Quite impressive!

However, I can't say I'm overly impressed with the Koru and Silver Fern merged design, though . To my mind, this 777 sort of looks half finished . You've got the solid black from the nose back to mid wing, then the effect from there back to the tail is almost like ribs without the skin covering it .

And sorry, Air NZ, that TR font for your name just doesn't cut it anymore, time to get rid of it .

Is the livery design by a committee of engineers, pilots, and ex-GM's perhaps? Too complex, too many concepts rolled into one .

If I was a self-respecting state of the art 777, I'd be a pit peee'd .

Send me a couple of freebies to LON and back (while you still fly there), and I'll report if the onboard experience will affect my judgement . Or not . :D

It is actually called a Ram Air Turbine (RAT) to provide hydraulic pressure in the case of a double engine failure.

1251498 2012-01-01 10:26:00 When you said Ram air turbine I mistook it for RAM Jet . Was thinking how the heck do they manage to keep the aircraft at a stable velocity required for the RAM jet to function . It would be useless in the case of engine failure especially on landing :p

I dont mind the ferns, but they could look better . IMO I like the new black livery . Stands out .

From memory dont they put it on the 1st aircraft for each series in the fleet?
