| 1251866 | 2012-01-03 20:50:00 | The mercury content in a CFL is minimal and it only comes out when you smash one of the bulbs. If you dispose of them properly no problem.:) The trouble with the murcury is that it is in powder form and even a vacuum doesn't eliminate it if a bulb breaks over carpet. In actual fact because the powder is so fine it can spread it. |
