I'm curious - what is wrong with Picasa? Not that I know or attempt any clever photo editing, but Picasa seems very good for my limited abilities. My children use it and Picnik which is the more powerful online photo editor. |

I use Corel Draw but it is not cheap. |

Have ended up with Photogene on the iPad. Cost about $8 and is so easy - beats any PC Apps! |

For just simple text on picture, you could look at impression. Free iPhone app (may have an HD version I'm not sure). It's designed for watermarking. |
