The mouse functions by rapidly taking snapshots of the surface below it and comparing them to determine the direction the mouse is moving. So if the mouse mat is plain white like mine was it doesn't have a clue which way it's moved as each frame looks like the last. This effect can manifest itself in lots of ways (no movement, massive jumps across the screen, etc) You could also get the latest USB drivers for you motherboard if you are using the USB connector, and get the latest intellipoint software from the microsoft site as the one in the box didn't work correctly for me under windows 2000. hope these suggestions help |
