13558 2001-06-02 22:35:00 I have a system with a Duron
800mhz cpu Gigabyte m/b and
nvidia TnT 32 mb PCI video card. 128 mb PC 133 ram.
While playing video intensive
games like Unreal or Myst 111
the system reboots without warning. I have run Sisoft Sandra and it reports that PCI
latency is to high in some areas. Cant afford an AGP video card.
Any ideas. Thanks

13559 2001-06-03 01:42:00 if it only does it in games i would check your drivers and temps of cpu and vid card.
what do you run the ganes in, directx or open gl? is the vid card overclocked??

13560 2001-06-03 02:23:00 Hi Robert,

Are you using the detonator drivers or the ones that came with your card? If not, try the detonators. as suggested check case temps and video card temp. The PCI latency is usually dictated by the slowest PCI device in the system, though it may be set via the bios too. Are you using the latest versions of DirectX? are you using the latest moteherboard drivers for your system?
have fun
