| 13487 | 2001-06-01 22:43:00 | Is there software that will emulate a LAN (i.e. make your computer think you're connected to another computer through a network card)? I'd like to play some multiplayer games with a friend and nowdays most games don't support the old modem connection option. I suppose we could use the gaming servers but I'm just wondering if something is out there which does emulate a LAN. Kali comes to mind but from memory that still uses servers. |

| 13488 | 2001-06-02 12:47:00 | hi although i have never tried it myself..have a look at the windows feature virtual private networking start>settings>control panel>addremove programs>windows setup tab> comunications and check to install virtual private networking...you may need windows cd. hope this helps and let me know if it works.
