13492 2001-06-02 02:58:00 I think i have lost the autoplay function on my computer. How can i get it back? Guest (0)
13493 2001-06-02 07:19:00 Hi Ashley,

If you have any future problems you need an answer to, the best thing I can suggest is to do a search on the PC World site for the topic.

Try this link www.pcworld.co.nz

It should give you the information you need for your autoplay problem.

Regards,

13494 2001-06-02 07:35:00 To re-enable the auto-start function go to start/settings/control panel/device manager, click on the + by CD-ROM, right click on your CD-ROM, select properties/settings, tick the 'auto insert notification' box and reboot the computer(check the tick is still there after the reboot).

If this doesn't work, or the tick was already in the box, remove it then reboot and try again.

If the problem is associated with audio CD's only, then you will have to ensure that the correct media player is being called when the CD is inserted.
