13468	2001-06-01 04:04:00	Hi --- This is a last resort. For a week now I haven't been able to access any websites. I can logon to my ISP OK, but when they send back the IP numerical address I get the DNS error bit. I've tried everything in the book to fix the bug, but nothing has worked so far. Have removed & re-setup Dialup Adapter, TCP\IP etc, all settings seem kosher,wsock32.dll is there and so on. I may do a complete reformat this weekend and see if that will do the trick. In the meantime has anyone had this hassle and found a fix?	Guest (0)
13469	2001-06-01 06:40:00	seem to remember a prob like yours about a year ago ! turned out was a new Dynalink modem on win2k , win2k auto detected the modem as an ASKEY 56 k , when changed modem driver to correct dynalink driver , prob went away ! Yet under the auto detect driver all present and correct! If your still stuck , let me know your OS and modem ! might see if i can recreate ! rgds tw	Guest (0)

13471	2001-06-04 13:35:00	Hi --- I've fixed the DNS error bug by doing a format on C: drive. Thanks for your comments though. However now there's something blocking sound reproduction both MP3 and Wav via CD player, and streaming stuff via Spinner etc. Device Manager indicates there's a problem. Under Other Devices there's a large (?) followed by CM 18330 Audio Adapter. This is repeated four times! Also I'm unable to bring up Volume Control on either Desktop or the Toolbar. My sound card is an SB16 Record (220). Have downloaded latest drivers etc from Creative. I've drawn a blank. Any suggestions?	Guest (0)
