| 13677 | 2001-06-06 00:01:00 | Have 333 AMD processor 128 of Ram. The problem is the comp is running very slowly and the CPU is showing 100% usage with no open programmes on the screen. I know that programmes are running in the background, but 100%? Any ideas? Ron.. |

| 13678 | 2001-06-06 00:30:00 | One thing to try: press CTRL-ALT-DEL and look at the programs that are running. Close them all down one by one, (do not close explorer or systray, as these are the core windows system) and then see if there is any improvement. If you notice a marked improvement after closing one particular entry, uninstall the program (and reinstall it if you really need it). | Guest (0) | ||
