| 13807 | 2001-06-07 13:20:00 | Until a few days ago, my web browsing experience had been mercifully bug free. However, now whilst I am online, my browser (IE5) often freezes without warning...and locks up my whole machine, forcing me to hit the reset button (control+alt+delete being rendered useless). I have cleared all history files, cache etc, run scandisk, etc, but to no avail. I had installed a trial version of HistoryKill and ZoneAlarm (from PCWorld disk!)just prior to the problem, but have since uninstalled or deactivated. If anybody has can shed some light on this extremely annoying problem, I would be most grateful! I am running win98 on a P3, 533 with 128mb or RAM - 56k modem. |
