13727 2001-06-06 11:38:00 My motherboard has been replaced and now i cant use my printers or scanner.Every time i install them or the drivers an error message comes up saying 'an old version of UNIDRV.DLL is istalled on your system.Your printer requires a newer version.Install the updated UNIDRV.DLL file into your windows system directory' this error message keeps coming back when i try to close it, then eventually another error message comes up in a white box that says 'Program error your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to a .DLL file'When i check the Device manager in the systems properties i notice that i have an ECP PRINTER PORT that has a conflict symbol next to it and another port called ECP PRINTER PORT (LPT1) that appears fine. Before the motherboard was replaced the printers(a dot matrix and a jet printer)and scanner were all working fine. The motherboard is an IBM pc365'6589 13u server, with dual pentium pro cpu's and i am running win 98se.Also my system keeps crashing, hanging and wont shut down half of the time.I can't get the person who installed it to fix it because i suspect he's been ripping me off as i'm a newbie. Before he installed the m\board i had the printer and scanner plugged in at the same time (2 different plugs) now there is only one. When asked about it he trys to tell me there was only one but its impossible. Can someone help me please Guest (0)
