| 13852 | 2001-06-09 03:31:00 | Hope someone can 'shed some light' on this problem! I have a Pentium 75 with a Unisys Monitor and am running Windows 95. About a week ago I noticed the screen display was a lot darker than usual - no matter what program I was using....DOS games (that used to be fine), IE5, the lot. I've read all the FAQ that seemed relevant, but still don't know how to get things back to the way they were - is my monitor on it's way out? Or has some strange 'system thing' happened that has altered settings? I've looked all through the 'Display' tabs and can't find anything relating to contrast or brightness. I also don't know much about drivers and the like, so would appreciate some guidelines as to how to go about tracking down the fault...(if this is even an option). Thanks Lynne Hawkins |

If you have, then there are a few thngs that could be causing the problem. You could be looking for a new monitor, video card, or it could simply be some other setting of which I am not aware. Anyway, try manually adjusting the monitor, and while your at it, try a deguass. |
