| 14019 | 2001-06-12 08:33:00 | Some of the junk advertising emails I recieve mainly from US sources, seem to cause my modem to want to go on line all the time. I click cancel and it stops, then it tries again and again till I've managed to get the offending mail deleted. Could it be my modem setup?? It is configured to go on line and check for new mail as soon as I open Outlook Express. Cheers,Dick A. |

| 14020 | 2001-06-13 00:19:00 | Your email might be trying to connect to download graphics associated with the message. Theefore when you delete the message the dialup disappears as you've mentioned. If you do want to read the email & not be bothered by the dial-up box its probably easiest just to send it to the background ie highlight the email program bar at the top. | Guest (0) | ||
