I have found this works for me in the past. Windoz may just get it right!!! | Guest (0) | ||

| 14100 | 2001-06-14 12:43:00 | Get him to check his phone line is OK. I recently had a problem with my setup. I had just reinstalled Windows but could not get the modem to connect. There was a problem with the Network settings which I resolved. But we had changed the phone at about the same time, and I don't know why but I cannot connect to the internet properly with that phone plugged in. I have to disconnect the phone. Get him to try changing the modem connection speed to a slower speed. Slowing down the modem allows me to connect with the offending phone plugged in. You can try typing 'AT+MS=V34' into the Extra Settings place in the modem properties dialog. | Guest (0) | ||
