14470 2001-06-22 05:41:00 i net worked my 2 pc's. all ok but my main pc has taken a command 'tshoot' from the other one and this causes it to go very slow on boot up.
i opened msconfig and removed the lines from the autoexe but on boot up they are still there but rem: in front.
i am runninng win98, amd 800, 100mbs ethernet adapters with cross over cable.

14471 2001-06-22 05:59:00 'rem' stands for remark. When placed at the beginning of a line in autoexec.bat, it prevents the instruction from being carried out. It's sometimes useful to do this so that the instruction can be re-instated easily just by removing the rem.
So really you shouldnt be having a problem unless there is also something else happening....

Cheers
