| 14373 | 2001-06-20 12:37:00 | I got the same problem with my mouse, the system cannot detects the mouse, and sometimes the mouse jump to lift top of screem when I click scrolling bar. I have tried reinstall Windows and setup the items of serial port in CMOS; but the problem still here. I though this may a kind of virus that can writes into BIOS, so after I have fdisk my harddisk the problem still here. My mouse is serial one but the system alway discriminate it as a PS/2 mouse. who had fixed this problem please give me a help!!! thanks James JZ |

| 14374 | 2001-06-21 11:47:00 | James, make sure that the mouse is the only thing using COM1 and also that nothing, ie:modem, is using COM3. If you can get new drivers for the mouse do so. Logitech or Microswoft etc. |

I have setup the mouse as serial port IRQ4, now I already can use the mouse, but sometime the mouse jumps or shakes when I draging the scroll bar. The cause of this is hardware problem or software problem?
