| 14478 | 2001-06-22 07:25:00 | Hi I have a 486 and 686 computer networked the files on 486 are read only via network card, I use a monitor, keyboard, mouse, switch box, this will switch the monitor and keyboard over between the 686 to 486 while they are both running, (I have two mice, as one is com and the other is PS/2. The problem is if I switch over to the 486 for too long the 686 will disappear, never to be seen again, until I switch off the 686 and reboot the 686 again, pressing the keyboard or moving the 686 mouse will not put life into it, I tried disabling the screen saver on the 686 before switching over but this did not help to solve my problem.
