14615	2001-06-26 10:41:00	i have just picked up a small hard drive for free and it hase windows 95 installed on it but on my computer i am running 98 when i have been trying to instal the HD i have it all pluged in. i turn on my computer and it loads for a while then says primary hard disk failur! and i am not shure how to get past this? and install the HD PLZ help thanks	Guest (0)
14616	2001-06-26 11:06:00	You won't be able to boot off that drive, I think you need to keep your existing drive as the primary master, plug the win95 drive into the spare connection on the ide cable then when you boot go into bios and get the second drive detected as the primary slave or secondry master.
