14618 2001-06-26 10:20:00 I can't play AoE/TibSun etc (any games) and someone suggested finding out what kind of video card we have (or if it is on the motherboard (??? i am not computer literate)) and load up new drivers. How do I find out ? Where do i look. We have a PC Direct 690SE pent II running win 98. How can I find out ? Thanks, gary Guest (0)
14619 2001-06-26 10:49:00 It may be videocard/drivers arn't up to date enough or it may be you dont have an up to date version of Direct X installed - go start/run then type 'dxdiag' and hit ok hopefully this will bring up the direct x diagnostic tool, it will show the version you have, also click on the 'display' tab and it will show your video card and driver information. If this doesn't work you can find the video card by going 'start/settings/control panel/system/device manager' look for 'display adapter' and double click. Guest (0)
