Despite holding <Shift> down while initialling loading the CD, it immediately started to run SetUp judging by the flashing lights on the drive. However, after a couple of minutes it failed to reach the SetUp window, but continued with irregular flashing lights. After a period of apparent quiescence I ejected the drive, only to bring up a blue window requesting replacemrnt of the CD. I reclosed the drive and waited but still no SetUp window. After other use of the computer I ejected the CD and attempted to reload it [without holding <Shift> down]. Despite the drive flashing lights the SetUp window still did not appear, and finally the computer froze. Ctrl+Alt+Del showed that multiple copies of the setup programme were apparently running. By selective deletions there and shutdown/reboot [ejecting the CD during the reboot] I managed to get back to start again. This time the action of loading the CD caused a complete freeze, requiring <Reset> to overcome.
Have I got a faulty CD or in some way has the computer decided not to load that specific disk [other CDs no problem] perhaps because I ejected the CD during what seemed to be an abnormally long SetUp period.
Suggestions ?

Thanks for your comment.
I have sent 2 Email messages so far, to subscriptions@idg.co.nz, the first last Tuesday, but with no response to date. Perhaps I am expecting too much for a response within 3 days !
