| 14647 | 2001-06-27 08:56:00 | Could you help me please? the other day after installing a second hard drive on the second IDE cable the floppy drive light came on and has stayed on ever since. Every time I boot up the message BIOS ROM checksum error comes up. The reset button aloows the computer to boot up but I cannot use the floppy drive. My computer is a Silicon Pentium 75 running Linus OS, 2 HDs and a CDRom. Any help will be appreciated. Best regards, Peter jones. |

| 14648 | 2001-06-27 12:04:00 | Sounds like you might have disconnected the floppy cable while you were fiddling inside the case, and reconnected it upside down. Try reversing it. | Guest (0) | ||
