14654 2001-06-27 10:44:00 But i want to put text over it. I want this pic in the background with a poem over it so i can print it. Guest (0)
14655 2001-06-27 12:29:00 I followed the directions left by Bryan g and found that this leads to good information to create the situation that you require ie a picture with the ability to place text over it. I can't understand why people put a question here and don't follow the advice!!!!! Guest (0)
14656 2001-06-27 17:38:00 Load Ms word.
You can either insert the picture via the Insert > picture > from file, and now browse and select your picture or you could copy and paste the image into word.

Right, now that the picure in loaded into word, resize the image to what size you wish to have it. Once this is done we are going to have to edit the properties to allow words to be typed over the top of the image.
To do this Right click on the image and select properties.
Click into the position tab, only have 'float over text' ticked. Move on to the wrapping tab now, select none as the wrapping choice.
You can now click ok if you are happy with the image or click into the picture tab if you wish to make the picture black & white, greyscale or my favourite water mark. (Note these are changed on the colour drop down)

Now the image is setr in place and the colour is how you wish to have it we need to make sure that the image will sit behind you poem. This is done by once again right clicking on the image this time though selecting.. order > send behind text.
