My wife has a fairly old Toshiba laptop which keeps losing visibility of our home wireless router (sorry at work and cant remember the model but it is a Telecom one), she can still see all the neighbors and all the other wireless devices in the house have no issue. All it takes to fix the problem is to go into the router and change the channel, save, and get out (Auto doesn't work). Suddenly the connection is visible for a day or a few days then lost again and the process is repeated.
Anyone have any idea why this might happen or what the solution might be? |

Change the channel on the computer too. To the same channel you changed it to on the router. And if there are any firewalls on the computer configure it (if its not windows firewall) |
