| 1252985 | 2012-01-08 21:43:00 | Getting used to my nice new computer and Win7 But I am using "Live Mail" and can find no way of looking at my email addresses (contacts). Help would be appreciated. Also I have always set my computers up so that pressing the Ctrl key indicates where my cursor is on the screen. Darned if I can remember how to do it now. Not very keen on "Live Mail" and would appreiciate comments. Spell check does some strange things. Tom |

I felt a proper Charlie when I read your advice. Of course - the mouse options - goodness knows I have used it often in the past. Memory must be getting shot. As for the contacts !! I must have gone over all the drop down menus umpteen times plus looking everywhere except on the bottom of the screen. Anyway thanks lots for getting me sorted out. Tom |

Dont be, EVERYONE has times like that, things you may do out of habit really seem impossible sometimes, and you cant figure out for the life of ya why something wont work. Want to hear a good one and a LAUGH !! --- Me yesterday -- I have built so many computers over the years, can almost do it with my eyes closed. Yesterday was in a bit of a hurry, trying to get this rebuilt/upgraded PC back to the customer in the afternoon, (motherboard had blown on a Acer - installed new ASUS board, had to reinstall vista) one of the lights in the workshop had blown, so it was a little darker than normal ---Built this PC, went to fire it up, dead as a dodo. OH CRAP !!! just what I need a DOA board:( Changed PSU's, checked all he power connections, all OK -- Then discovered the problem Durrhhhhh :o --- the front panel connectors weren't in the normal place, I had plugged the front panel connections onto a USB header by mistake --- twit -- changed them to where they were meant to be and what ya know -- It went One of those days !! ;) |
