Yeah, by that logic movie pirates must be restricted to a region that they won't sell their precious discs in.

Reality is that region coding is so the true pirates, the movie studios, can suck as much as possible from your wallet, and to prevent you buying a cheap copy (legally) from Thailand or India.

It ain't one price worldwide for the product(s), it's whatever price the local market will tolerate.

We the consumers would probably be much better off if we collectively boycotted such pricing until we got the same price for all manner of goods that the cheaper countries pay.
