1275050 2012-05-15 10:31:00 Yeah I'm thinking it's a mobo issue now, been hanging in games now (not during an actual game but in lobbies, or just after a match) and now it won't even get to the BIOS, and if it does, it's only the BIOS beep (which is now a long beep ... bad I know) Civic (15464)
1275051 2012-05-15 23:52:00 I'm just about to open up my case to remove the last GPU, but even if it does run like that I won't be able to use my PC since there'll be no DVI ports, and if the mobos slots is faulty, that means both GPU ones and not just one or the other since it has failed with either setup going. 1275052 2012-05-16 11:26:00 It's working again (didn't take me 12 hours, I just forgot to come back)
It's a motherboard issue, I took out the GPU(s) and just let the PC run without any screens, didn't have any crashes in the total of about an hour that it was on
(although I couldn't do anything more then logging in since there wasn't any screen connected)
When I put the GPU back in, I put it into the second PCIx16 slot, where the 1st and 3rd slots were being used by the GPUs before, so now I can only use one since the 6870s take up a second slot in size, but hey I didn't get much of a performance boost from it anyway.

Oh well problem solved ^_^

1275053 2012-05-16 11:55:00 try each gfx by itself , one at a time GameJunkie (72)
1275054 2012-05-16 12:39:00 Yeah I've tried that, first go was just unplugging the cables of the GPU from the GPU and the PSU, and that still had errors, then I took out the other card, and still had errors, so even though I was running one card it was doing it.
It's just the PCI 16 slots that seem to have gone weird, using a different one made the difference and it's been fine all day :)

1275055 2012-05-18 07:17:00 Ok so now it's happening again, guess it must be the motherboard since the second slot is doing the same as both the first and third PCI x16 slots.

What's people's thoughts ... motherboard or something else?
I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard so I'm going to do a bit of net shopping tonight, try find something good.

1275056 2012-05-20 11:13:00 Haven't got a motherboard yet since Nedkelly came around and noticed that the voltages were a bit out, so it could be the PSU and not the mobo.
I'm pretty sure it's the 3.3V that is at around 2.8V when we last checked, ran a memtest and there were no errors on the first pass.

Although now the PC won't even boot, just one long bios beep.

No idea what to do right now.
