1253094 2012-01-09 17:28:00 This should fit the bill nicely. 18" screen and 560m SLI for $1799 USD.

The 560m sli can be upgraded to a 6990m crossfire setup as well. Sager has a good warranty and I believe free lifetime tech support as well. Finally, you will probably be the only person you know with one of these. This beast is a real hater-maker.

1253095 2012-01-09 19:19:00 Excellent point Chilli...if I was asking about desktops.....:lol::lol::lol:

Went to a job interview today, 15 days onsite,15 days off, 13 hour work days, 11 hours downtime, though while onsite I would be on call and aren't allowed to leave the perimeter. Accommodation and meals supplied.

I'm not betting on my chances, But If I do get it, I can't set up a desktop in the bunk house......And the pay would allow me to buy something...um....not *bad* for a laptop.;)
If you get it, do try to last a bit longer than last time!

Would like to hear of you going onward and up, not onward and out.

meh, I'm not fussed, The year in Masterton gave me invaluable work experience but its just as important to maintain a connection with the family, when that area starts to suffer then its time to go home.

I think it is possible to have both, but anyway, we all have our cross to bear.

1253099 2012-01-09 20:50:00 Hence the need for a new plan, if I can't get a position that allows me to spend time with my family (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off would be sweet) then I'll relocate my family to a larger center. Metla (12)
1253100 2012-01-09 21:35:00 Edit - disregard that. same one as chill posted but dearer. wratterus (105)
1253101 2012-01-09 21:47:00 Stupid question time................. these are high end lappies for great gaming? not something you would get from walking into a store (HN or NL, DSE etc?) so nobody in wangs would have these?

Cos i thought laptops were far cheaper than what is screaming off the screen on those links...........:(

Do you have a budget $$$ in mind?

1253102 2012-01-09 21:51:00 Yeah basically it's the graphics card and big-ass screens that makes them highly expensive ;)

Not the sort of thing you traditionally can get something decent from the like of Harvey Normans or DSE etc
