1252252 2012-01-05 21:43:00 Joe's link didn't work for me, either. Come on Joe, we know you like to "stir" ;) I learnt to drive on the LHS and am too old to bother changing right now.
Besides that, the Americans allowed old man Noah Webster to hoodwink them into thinking there was a better way of English spelling. Now look what it's deteriorated into with 'text speak', what next? Grunts and groans? Who said man has evolved?

1252253 2012-01-05 22:43:00 Not only the costs to manufacaturers to making two versions of each model they make.

But the cost in lives due to accidents when people drive when on holidays etc.

I have always thought that the whole world shouls drive on one side of the road.
It is possible to change.
I remember Sweden did it in the 1960's or 70's.

And yes the Europeans invented cars, but I suppose it really depends on which countries came up with the first road codes.

And what about horse drawn carriages ? did they drive on one side of the road ?
