1252231 2012-01-05 23:32:00 Our cat doesn't jump up on benches or the dining table - can't remember specifically training her. But she's pretty smart and she knows, if you put her on the table, that she's not supposed to be there and will get down unprompted.

Maybe she doesnt like heights

1252233 2012-01-06 03:05:00 I've always been a dog man (as distinct from a "dogging" man!) but I'm bi-lingual and can appreciate that there are those that prefer fluffy feral felines. (OK - I did watch "Elsa- The Lioness that changed the World" on One on Tuesday - can't believe it was all that time ago - my dad told me about it ;) ). Anyway, here's the thought thread ("syllogistic logic"to the few of thus that seem to know about it these days): CAT > Mouse, MOUSE > Computer,

CAT > COMPUTER: www.youtube.com

1252234 2012-01-06 09:00:00 Has anybody been able to train a cat not to jump up on the bench? My cats know that they are not supposed to be there because the they jump down as soon as they hear me coming. :angry
We've got two cats. One has never been one for getting on benches or tables. Our new (stray) is jumping up all the time, no matter how many times he is chucked off. original cat now getting the idea.......The term "copy cat" wasn't invented by itself........

I may have to put a water bowl down on the floor. This may take away their reason for getting up on the bench.

Sounds to me like he has either not gained his voice yet or has he lost his voice?

Shoot them then they can't jump up, it's for the reason that cats don't behave that I don't like them that and they are useless at chasing the postman. All they do is sleep or catch native birds. If it wasn't for SWMBO I certainly wouldn't have them
