14881 2001-07-02 22:44:00 I installed Macfee Virus Scanner onto my system but had some problems running it so I decided to uninstall it. However it appears that the unistall procedure did not remove the entire program as I now find when I boot up my system is looking for certain Mcafee files. It says that the files are in the registery or system.ini but I checked both and can find no such files. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem.

Thanks in advance

14882 2001-07-03 01:53:00 Running a registry cleaner such as Regclean (can be downloaded from www.microsoft.com) should locate and remove invalid registry entries. If you have Norton System Works then this also includes a registry cleaner to remove invalid entries. Guest (0)
14883 2001-07-03 02:29:00 I had ENORMOUS amount of trouble with McAfee I have a 'book' of e-mails back and forth to Aussie about it. I can share these with you if you like. I have it running perfectly now. There was a fault in the copy I brought and they sent me a new CD and have had no trouble since then.
