| 15056 | 2001-07-05 04:50:00 | i have a small home peer-to-peer network and i am having trouble getting a win98 computer to see win95 pcs and vice versa. i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and hardware. i was wondering if there is something that prevents win98 from seen win95 via a bnc connection? | Guest (0) | ||

Many combo cards have a configuration util to set them up, eg the 3com 3c5x9cfg util. If the card has an auto option use it, as it will help in the future if you go to UTP later. |

In Control Panel/Network/identification the names that you use should all have capital first letter only, the Computer Name & Workgroup should be single words(hyphenations & numbers are acceptable) but the Computer Description can be anything at all. | Guest (0) | ||
