| 15030 | 2001-07-04 23:47:00 | Have just recieved an email with a microsoft publisher file attachment, I dont have the program to open it. Can't seem to open it with Notepad or Wordpad,which normally works. Microsoft site dosn't seem to have a free viewer(have downloaded for example Excell viewer for instance}.Any ideas. Cheers |

A brilliant Free download for Windows 95 and 98 etc get your friend to download it and resend you the attachment It will come with an inbuilt 'Print & Viewer' feature for the file, that will not leave anything on your computer. It works with really obscure programmes. can be a small charge to the sender (NZ 18c for 30 sec. average time 20 secs to 1 min.good to have yourself also. What I would do is reply to them telling them to send the find in a standard format that you can open. Sorry but I get really sick of people expecting me to be able to open what ever they send me. |
