| 14939 | 2001-07-03 21:43:00 | My laptop running Windows 98 has recently started giving a message at startup saying that wininit.exe is either: corrupted or performed an illegal operation. Acknowledge and all except the Office tool bar seems okay. How do I replace the file? I have windows 98 on a desktop, can I use wininit from there? |

| 14940 | 2001-07-04 01:49:00 | search your registry for 'wininit.exe' is the reg key has the word 'byron' in it, it may be a virus. Export ya reg to be safe then delete that key only (the line with byron in it) See if that fixes your problem | Guest (0) | ||
