| 15168 | 2001-07-07 05:41:00 | I'm running IE5.5 on Win98SE and it regularily pauses during browsing. I can still download email with Eudora, use ICQ or Download with GoZilla during these pauses. I have defragged my hard drive many times, run Norton Utils (not found anything significant). It gets rather annoying being half way through loading a page, then having to wait for up to 1 minute for the download to resume. I have noticed that when IE 5.5 is pausing, if you try and fill in a 'field' on a page, the entry is very slow to respond. I've even used the update feature of MS to see if I need to install any patches and that hasn't resolved the issue either. Any advice appreciated. |

I use Ultra 30 (IHUG) and am wondering if it has to do with this download system - which up to a fortnight ago was behaving brilliantly. I've emailed IHUG and await their reply with interest! | Guest (0) | ||

I'll keep trialling this software for a few days before I decide to keep it. I use Paradise.net for my ISP, has anyone else experienced simmilar problems with them? Ash |
