15069 2001-07-05 10:25:00 My very old computer has just had new ram put in that brings it to sixteen megabytes of ram. When the computer restarted it recognised the new ram but two things happened. I> It sayes press f1 to start everytime you turn the computer on. When you do that it sayes can't find operating system. I then reformated the drive and did a clean install of Windows 98 second edition. It was fine. It reached 100% of installation and said my computer would have to be rebooted. On rebooting it again said press F1 and Can't find operating system. I have gone into the bios to make sure that the first drive it looks for is C: still no luck. Please can anyone help. thanks Gareth Guest (0)

How old is your PC? Can you get RAM for it that is compatible with it?
